WHY HAVE I BEEN CHARGED A TRIP FEE?

TRIP FEES ARE CHARGED WHEN AN INSPECTION IS MADE AND THE CONTRACTOR IS NOT READY, OR IF IT IS NOT CORRECT. A TRIP FEE PLACES THE PERMIT "ON HOLD" FOR A PERIOD OF 48 HOURS AND NO INSPECTIONS WILL BE PERMITTED BY THE CONTRACTOR THAT WAS NOT READY DURING THAT PERIOD OF TIME. ONLY A SUPERVISOR IS ABLE TO REMOVE A TRIP FEE ONCE APPLIED.
