WHAT IS THE COST OF A PLAN CHECK?

Plan check costs is 25% of permit fee - this is paid upfront for new homes - commercial also pays the fee up front. 

WHEN CAN I HAVE SOMEONE CHECK MY PLANS?

The residential plan examiners are available from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. Electrical and mechanical plan reviews are from 9 a.m. to noon. 

WHO DRAWS PLANS?

A homeowner can draw plans if they are professional quality and look like a blueprint and provide a plot map. Commercial projects or builders need a design professional. 

HOW LONG DOES PLAN CHECK TAKE?

Small additions up to 500 square feet and single story, decks, patio covers and remodels can usually be walked through depending on the scope of the project.

NEW HOMES STAMPED BY AN ENGINEER OR ARCHITECT - 1 WEEK

WHAT IS AN AVERAGE PLAN CHECK FEE FOR A NEW RESIDENCE?

$80.00 TO $100.00 ON AVERAGE.

Building/Construction - 8:00 - 3:45 p.m. weekdays
    Reviewers - Tim Condit, Steve Harlan, Roger Lovell, Ron Walker
        Dept. Manager - Sean Donohue, Customers seen by Appt.


Electrical - 9 a.m. - noon

Mechanical: 9 a.m. - noon
    Commercial Plumbing - Kye Lehr
    Commercial Mechanical, Residential Plumb. & Mech. - Russell Kauk

Mechanical: 1 - 4 p.m.
    Residential Plumb. & Mech (includ. duct design) - Daryl Kuiper    

All plan checks are on a first-come, first-serve basis, as time permits. Customers are to put their name on the appropriate sign-in sheet and wait for their name to be called.

Simple additions can be walked through - decks, basements, additions

New single family home plans can be submitted at the Plans counter between 7:30 and 3:30
