What is a labor lien and where do I file one?

A lien is put on the property by a contractor/individual who has done work on the property and has not been paid by the primary contractor or the homeowner for the work performed. It is filed with the district attorney or lawyer.

Where do I obtain a lien waiver form?

It can be obtained through a store that sells office supplies, or by looking in the yellow pages under legal forms.

My house is flooding, what do I do?

Building code only states that the foundation dirt has to slope away from the house. This is a civil matter between all parties involved.
