What are the requirements that have to be met before someone can do a monolithic pour?

The building must be residential with a single story and wood frame, between 200 - 750 square feet, unheated, and detached from the residence (such as a large shed, a detached garage or workshop). If a building meets these requirements it can it can have a monolithic pour. Less than 200 square feet can use any approved foundation (i.e. skids, slab or blocks and no front depth is required.)

If it does not meet these requirements, then the 30" frost depth code must be met, and they must provide foundation engineering and soils report to the RBD.
