WHERE CAN I GET A PLAT MAP?

IT SHOULD BE WITH YOUR CLOSING PAPERS WHEN YOU BOUGHT THE HOUSE OR YOUR MORTGAGE COMPANY CAN GET YOU A COPY - ANY TITLE COMPANY WILL HAVE ONE.

RBD DOES NOT HAVE PLAT MAPS OR SURVEYS

IF YOU NEED YOUR LOT SURVEYED, YOU SHOULD CHECK UNDER SURVEYORS IN THE TELEPHONE BOOK.

DOES A PLAT MAP HAVE TO BE PROVIDED FOR INSIDE WORK?

NO, A PLOT MAP DOES NOT HAVE TO BE PROVIDED FOR INSIDE WORK. ONLY WHEN THE OUTSIDE DIMENSIONS OF THE STRUCTURE CHANGE OR ANOTHER STRUCTURE IS ADDED TO THE LOT (GARAGE, SHED, ETC.)

CAN A HOMEOWNER DRAW THEIR OWN PLOT PLAN/SITE PLAN?

A HOMEOWNER IS ALLOWED TO DRAW THEIR OWN PLOT PLANS/SITE PLANS, HOWEVER THEY NEED TO BE TO SCALE AND INDICATE THEIR LEGAL DESCRIPTION.

We will accept ILC (Improvement Location Certificate), Certificate of Survey, or a plot plan.
